Bonded ADSL

This is a solution that is aimed at businesses and individuals that require greater downstream and upstream speeds that are unavailable using the traditional single line connection. We can bundle any theoretical number of lines together to achieve their total bandwidth in both the upstream and downstream portions. The most we have tested was using 6 x 2mb ADSL lines, a total of 12mb downstream and 1.5mb upstream. This is a viable solution to most people who cannot afford the expensive costs of getting a leased line, or are situated too far from an exchange to receive a higher speed xDSL service.

We can bond both ADSL and SDSL lines. Bonding lines also give you an increased level of redundancy, as if one of your lines failed your service would still operate, but at a slower speed.

We are one of the few ISPs to offer a bonded service that spans across two or more wholesale networks. Hence with this service we can provide you with a high SLA of 99% availability. This is done by sharing the xDSL lines over two different carrier networks, ensuring reliability.

What puts most people off bonded xDSL is the high setup costs, compared with leased lines they are small but nevertheless. We recommend you use Cisco equipment to terminate the connections and can supply a fully managed solution for you. We have also tested the Linux Bonded CD to great extent and have found it to be excellent. Hats off to Eddie for doing a lot of hard work and producing a stable alternative to the Cisco approach.

Please contact us for up to date pricing on this, as we will tailor a solution to your individual needs. Normally it is the total circuit costs plus £10 overhead for the bonding.
